Emla Cream Over The Counter questions and answers
Buy cheap emla cream over the counter from the cheapest online pharamcy - TheDrugCompany.com
Q: Can you buy EMLA cream online or over the counter at a pharmacy? or is it a prescription item?
I want to have this handy just in case the hospital refuses to give me lidocaine before inserting that excrutiatingly painful IV needle/tube.
Pasco County Hospital in Dade City FL does this automatically, they really CARE about patient comfort...Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater FL, likes to see their patients in pain so they can save a buck and treat them like crap.
I'll be having surgery at Tampa General Hospital. I really want a stick of lidocaine before the IV (jesus those things are SO painful!!!!) but some hospitals are cheap and won't honor simple patient requests, so I figured If I had some lidocaine or EMLA cream, I could rub it on my hand myself and save myself alot of pain, suffering and agony.
A: EMLA is an over the counter product in some countries like Canada, Australia, and I believe Britain. In the U.S. however, it is not. Have you considered trying lidocaine or something similar OTC. Perhaps you could have your regular doctor get your a script or tell the people at the hospital you refuse to get the test unless they get orders from the physician on staff to numb it properly. You have a right to request this you know. Peace
Q: Tattoo: emla cream...does it work?
A friend of mine is getting a tattoo and needs help cuz he's afraid it will hurt A LOT and i hear emla cream really works like it numbs the skin so it helps a bit...does it work? How can you get it? just over the counter? pleeeease help? >< thanksss
A: I've been told that it only works for a half an hour. and then you have to wait a half an hour after you apply it for it to kick in. so, you would have to put it on, wait a half hour, have the artist work for a half hour, then apply the lotion again, etc...
doesn't sound worth it to me.
Q: is there anything over the counter that will numb me before a tattoo?
(lidocaine)....like emla cream or lmx....that they carry at my local pharmacy like cvs or riteaid
A: i suppose there is, but if you cant handle the pain you should either get the tattoo in a less painful spot or dont get one at all! pain is part of getting a tattoo, so if you cant deal with pain maybe a tattoo isnt for you.
Q: why can a person NOT use a skin numbing agent when getting a tattoo...there are over the counter creams....?
there is a product called emla that numbs the skin to pain...a topical anesthetic....why are people NOT encouraged to use this for tattoos?? it would make the entire experience a much more pleasurable one.....and likely increase the tattoo biz as well....for all those petrified of the pain...
i realize you don't want the numbing agent to wear off, however, you can always stop when it does, usually they last a couple of hours, and apply new if the tattoo you are getting is that huge......n'est pas??
love to hear your answers
thanking you in advance
A: I have 3 tattoos...my guy actually uses one that is made for tattoo artists. You might want to check around. There could be some that don't know about it?
It is a very short term thing and it doesn't completely kill the pain, it's just to ease it a little.
Q: I need a cream that is very similar to Emla?
Alright so my girlfriend has a tooth coming in all wrong and its growing into the nerve that runs down her jaw line, Emla so far has been the only thing that has helped her, tried some pain medications nothing has helped. So is there anything as strong or effective as Emla that is OTV (over the counter) if you know of any please lemme know sooner the better so I can get it too her. Also I am in the US, so I cannot buy it directly from the pharmacist. Thanks very much :)
A: No there is nothing see an orthodontist
Q: Need a prescription for EMLA?
Just wondering if EMLA cream (a common topical anesthetic) requires a prescription. Can it be bought over the counter at most drug stores? Ps. This is in regards to the Canadian health care system, might be different in the US.
A: I don't know about in Canada but here in the U.S. as of the last I heard a prescription was required to get Emla.
Q: Brazilian bikini wax for someone with super sensitive skin?
I shave my bikini area every week to two weeks, and even then I get such horrible bumps/irritation/itching it's unbearable and I don't want my boyfriend to touch me at all. I want to get a bikini wax but I have a really low pain threshold. I've gotten my legs waxed three times and I cried every time, the pain was horrible. Plus I don't want the waxer seeing me naked... aaaawkward.
So, two questions:
1. Do you have to be totally naked when you get a bikini wax or brazilian wax?
2. Is there any numbing cream similar to Emla (prescription) I can get over the counter, or can you recommend anything to seriously deaden the pain beforehand?
Thanks
A: Okay, here are the answers to your questions:
1.) No, you will not have to be %100 naked for either. With a bikini wax, they just tie your underwear at the middle in order to target the area. With a brazilian wax, they have to wax EVERYTHING, so they will only remove your underwear
2.) My favorite cream is GiGi Bikini Wax Soothing Cream with 2% Lidocaine. If you are going to use this, I'd suggest doing so both before and after waxing.
Happy waxing!
