Q: How dangerous would taking a 54mg Concerta with 150mg of Wellbutrin?
I really need to get my juices flowing to finish a paper today, but I started taking Wellbutrin(150mg twice a day) yesterday.
Aside from the official warnings which are oftentimes overblown, have any of you ever done it, and are there any dangers?
A: ive taken 36 mg of concerta and 150mg of wellbutrin and felt fine. just alot more focused. im positive you will be fine just dnt go over 108mg of concerta. its pretty much askin for a heart attack. o and you might feel a little spacy towards end of the day
Q: does wellbutrin work from the first day or do you have to wait several weeks to see the first effects?
Usually you have to wait several weeks before seeing the effects of antidepressants; but I heard that Wellbutrin's mode of action is a little different. So do you have to wait as usual 2-3 weeks or does it work from day 1 on?

A: It took me a week to get completely used to the effects, but I immediately saw benefits from taking it.

A: Wellbutrin may help you with your depression. Some people find that they have to change medications once or twice before they find the right one. Anti-depressants usually take between 2 - 4 weeks to take affect. In the meantime, there are some small things that you can do to make yourself feel better. Going outside for walks and getting sunshine, eating properly, etc. I know it sounds like a lot, but it isn't. Take things very slowly, and set small goals for yourself. Setting small, attainable goals will help find your self-confidence again. Talking to a professional will also help. Some days you may have to make yourself do these things, so make sure you follow through with them. Exercise is the biggest thing. I also suffer from depression and have for years, but once I started going out for small walks every day, I feel better. Something as small as a walk around the block can make a sad person feel better. Instantly. Reason for that is that exercise releases hormones that are called "endorphins" which are better known as the "feel good hormones". These are the same hormones that are released during sex!
So, the more you exercise, the better you feel. This is why people get addicted to working out or exercising. Certainly not the worst addiction in the world!

A: It is an antidepressant. Is it possable it is causing hormonal changes. I have tried a few and have had a few different symptoms from different ones. Check with the doc. Good luck.

What is the difference with Xl, SR, and regular wellbutrin?
A: XL is the way to go so you only have to take one. Brand name is better than generics because there's been a lot of issues with absorption and dissolving rates with the generics (especially the TEVA pharmaceutical generic. The others MIGHT be ok.) I really like Wellbutrin, it puts me in a great mood.

When I was on Prozac half a year ago, I felt the effects after two weeks (it was like a night to day change - very noticeable).
A: the time lapse before the drug works is stated to be 4 to 6 weeks. many anti-depressants can give you dry mouth, but this one is not noted to have weight loss or stomach aches in my drug book... you should let your doctor know if these side effects do not subside. I was on wellbutrin, but not with good effect. most anti-depressants take 3 plus weeks to work and many side effects can go away after 2 months. i bought myself a book on prescription drugs, it is reader friendly... but always keep in mind that we are all different and what works great for one person may not be so good for someone else... one good idea is "if someone else in your immediate family is on anti-depressents what works for them?" dont give up and if you are worse off with wellbutrin get the doctor to let you try another, best wishes and good luck!

A: Nope... the difference is the way the xl is released... its a slow and steady release (xl you only take once a day). the SR you (should) have to take twice a day. In the time in between pill A and pill B - you might be having a moment of limited amounts in your blood stream. Try equally spacing your doses (every 12 hours)... i used to take mine at 9 am&pm.
Q: Are there side effects from stopping Wellbutrin cold turkey?
I have been taking 300mg of Wellbutrin for a few years and have decided to stop taking it since I ran out of my mail order supply. It's been about 2 weeks, and so far, I think i'm doing well, but I have had some shoulder pain, and numbness in my right hand.

A: I didn't have any side effects when I stopped. They had to switch me to another medicine - no problems!
