Q: Is it safe using such creams for back aches as Rub a535 or Pain-A-Trate during pregnancy?
Is it safe using such creams for back aches as Rub a535 or Pain-A-Trate during pregnancy. Can't find anything about using these creams or not, I have used pain a trate twice. Its from Melaleuca Active ingredients Camphor, menthol, and methyl salicylate

A: I don't know about these creams. I've been using Traumeel and can't seem to find anything about it either.

Q: Can you use rub a535 if you are pregnant?
just wondering if it would be better or worse then taking something like tylenol? and if it is safe or one of those things that could harm your baby.

A: Heat rubs vary greatly and are usually made up of many different substances. Most seem to contain either methyl salicylate, menthol, or camphor or a combo of these. None of these are known to be harmful when used on the skin in pregnancy, but research is very limited. Some do contain warnings that they should not be used in pregnancy for this reason. While small amounts used throughout pregnancy are unlikely to be harmful, it would be preferable to find alternative ways of coping with pains and tension during pregnancy. If you asked your doctor, most would say "I don't recommend it, but there has been nothing proven to say it is unsafe during pregnancy." Maybe try some of it is absolutely essencial, and discontinue use if your baby immediately starts kicking up a frenzy or you get cramps. Women who HAVE had negative experiences with back rubs such as A535 found these to be the symptoms ^ Basically - don't do it unless you're desperate. Try some alternatives first. A massage, warm bath etc.

Q: I am 33 weeks pregnant with imense back pain. Is it safe to use a rub like A535 daily? What else could I use?
Is there something more natural or perhaps more safe to use? Massage and the hot water bottle don't seem to be doing much. Thanks!

A: I don't know if it is safe to use the rub, but I manage my back pain by seeing a chiropractor. I am only at 35 weeks but he says he can work on me up until the day I deliver the baby, and also immediately after. My ob sends patients to him and he has a lot of experience w/ pregnancy. I have a long history of back problems prior to pregnancy but so far I am doing just great.

Q: If pregnant can you use Rub.a535 cream?
Just curious if I can use rub a535 while you are pregnant, and while I'm asking how about omega 3 supplements and what about apple cider vinegar pills... thanks

A: Ask your doctor to be safe

Q: What do you do for shin splints?
Is there something i could use, like ice, something warm, one of those rubs like rub a535? I get them when i run alot, and yesterday I have a rugby practice and hadn't run in a while. Yesterday was a fitness practice, so there was a lot of running, its not that i'm really unfit, but in the winter i play hockey, and don't get shin splints from that.

A: Aye, you almost always get shin splints when doing running/working out, especially if your just starting out again. When you get home, elevate your legs, put some ice on them, and turn on the T.V. When its almost time for bed, go soak in a bath, and pour epson salt in the bathtub, which helps relieve soreness. They'll generally go away after you have gotten used to working out again. Also, in hockey, your legs are in ice skates, and held in traction, Shin splints are from jolting in the legs/shins area.

Q: What to use for recurring muscle pain?
I've been having muscle pain on my lower triceps right above the elbow due to an injury a few months ago. Physiotherapy helped for a little while but now it's back. I did the stretches I was suppose to do and avoided heavy lifting as much as possible but now I don't know how to get rid of the aches that keep coming back. Should I use antiphlogistine like RUB-A535, Menthol analgesic for a cold relief or just plain ordinary ice? any ideas or tips would be very much appreciated

A: Ice is used to keep the swelling down. However, this does not sound like the case for your condition. You should do the opposite, take a hot bath and soak the arm. This will speed up the circulatory and blood flow in the region. Before you go to sleep, try Ben Gay for muscle relief. If there is no improvment, I recommend you see an orthopedic specialist and have a diagnostic test done. That way, you can properly be diagnosis (to determine the extent of the injury) and a treatment plan can be developed. Good luck.

Q: did I pull a muscle in my uppper arm?
Whenever I move my arm in a certain way, I get a pain in my upper arm and sometimes I'll get the pain down to my thumb. Will the cream rub a535 help sooth it?

A: I'm not familiar with a535, but if it's an analgesic muscle cream, than it should help you. If not, try wrapping the heating paid around your arm for 20 minutes at a time and see if that helps you any. I wish you well.

Q: When you do the splits, does it hurt ?
Hi all! I CAN do the splits, but not easily or painlessly. When I go down into the splits I can't stay down for long and it hurts. Does it hurt at all for you? Also, I was practising the splits a lot yesterday and today my inner thighs hurt SO BAD. I put rub a535 on them and it felt like I was squatting over a fire. Do I just need to practise more? Am I over doing it? Is this normal? =/

A: oh yes, im pretty sure it hurts basically everyone:P haha:) at all my cheer practices, when we have to do splits, all you hear is OWWW! id just practice more! its extreeemly painful for me, and im not very close:) good luck!

Q: is there anything i can do for my foot?
last night i was walking over to my bed and when i was walking i put all my weight down on the side of my foot and now it really hurts. noting hurts but the side of my foot, not my ankle! it doesn't look swollen but it hurts A lot. so far i have put rub A535 on and some ice. what else can i do???

A: rest it. i once jumped off a low wall i was sitting on and most of the weight was on one foot. the outside of the foot really ached. i just rested it and wore tight socks to relieve it. time is your healer on this one! if it hurts more rather than staying at one level of pain, i'd get it x rayed in case it was a hair line fracture. but only if it worsens and you can't put weight on it. it may not look swollen now because (very sensibly) you're putting ice on it. see how it looks like without the ice. if it swells a lot, go to the hospital

Q: My neck is stiff and it hurts!?
Oh my god my neck is really hurting i took a bath/shower then after when i was soaping i think i pulled a muscle, i cant move it to the left all the way, and it really hurts, i can look up, down, and right, but when i move down i can feel the same pain when i look to the left can anyone help me please? my mom told me that it was something about a vein or something will rub a535 help me? please?

A: Sounds like a possible cervical sprain/strain. Here are a few things that you can do to ease a stiff neck: 1. Ice your neck- this will help take down inflammation and has an analgesic effect at the same time 2. Do some gentle neck exercises: http://www.arc4life.com/site/615058/page/993935. In your case because you may have strained your neck while bathing, please do these exercises only to the point of feeling a stretch 3. Get a good neck pillow for sleeping at night: Check out the cervical traction neck pillow- it will ensure that your head and neck are properly aligned while sleeping.Keep in mind that a new cervical pillow can take a few days to get used to. 4. Use a pain relief get such as Biofreeze- I like biofreeze better than BenGay or A535 because it is odorless, grease-less and very effective at working on sore and stiff muscles. Use an ice pack along with the biofreeze for even better results. Here is a great EHow articles about this: http://www.ehow.com/how_2194151_use-treat-muscle-spasm-biofreeze.html

Q: Neck Pains?
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of neck pain? I've been having the same annoying pain every single day for 2 years now. My doctor recommended that I go to a physiotherapist and it didn't seem to help at all, I've tried heating pads, and RUB A535. Is there maybe something that I can get off the counter that will work? Any help would be appreciated!

A: you must follow doc hints

A: I just recovered from a neck strain, so maybe this will help: - First, get any kind of elastic bandages, and wrap it around tight, but not so tight that it is uncomfortable. - Second, definately get the RUB A535. It may not seem like its work, but it does sooth the pain throughout the day. - Third, get a special pillow that is curved to help support your neck while you sleep. After using one of them, I recovered within days. - Fourth, during the day, move it around a bit, so it doesn't get stiff, and ask someone to massage it. Keep doing everything you can, and it should go away in no time.
